Margaret Harrison to Tracey Emin: parenthood doesn’t replace your work

Margaret Harrison has written a pointed but amusing rebuttal to Tracey Emin’s statement, “having a child would be a substitute for my work!” Harrison quotes a second comment from a related interview, over themes of motherhood that emerged in Emin’s exhibition The Last Great Adventure is You, “There are good artists that have children. Of course there are. They’re called men.”
